About Us

Wedding and Event Vendor Alliance (WEVA) is a network of socially conscious wedding and event professionals who are on a mission to create a more inclusive, diverse, and welcoming community of vendors, clients and guests.

Our members commit to removing barriers to inclusion and diversity by implementing anti-racist practices and creating LGBTQ+ loving and affirming event experiences.

WEVA Members aim to align their brands with their beliefs by creating safe and welcoming spaces for all people.

WEVA helps wedding professionals become better allies and advocates through self-education & community development.

Our Members vow to provide safe, inclusive, anti-racist event spaces where all people feel loved, seen and celebrated.

When you become a member of WEVA, you’re taking a step to show your commitment to make real change to move the wedding industry forward as a more inclusive community for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ couples, families, and businesses.

WEVA provides a path for allies to take accountability and take action to increase social equity and anti-racism.

  • WEVA rejects all forms of racism and discrimination, and our members pledge to provide a safe environment for all people—regardless of race, religion, identity, sexual orientation, age or ability.

  • Our members commit to ongoing education to learn better business practices encompassing diversity, equity, inclusivity and accessibility.

  • WEVA provides resources and opportunities for event professionals so that you can connect with like minded peers and put your values into action—beyond simply posting on social media.

  • WEVA is a non-profit organization, headquartered in Vermont, but our members have joined from all over the country and beyond!

Join Our Mission

We vow to provide a safe environment where all people feel loved, seen and celebrated because #hateisavirus #blacklivesmatter and #loveislove.

Wedding and Event Vendor Alliance rejects all forms of racism. Racism in any form will not be tolerated here or in any events associated with this Alliance. WEVA is committed to the mission of increasing cultural respect by cultivating greater understanding of concepts of diversity, inclusion, equity, implicit bias, white privilege, white supremacy, and systemic racism specifically within the wedding and event industry.

We know that no one and no business is “perfect”, and as allies and advocates, we must hold ourselves accountable to self-education, personal growth and progress in the wedding industry. We recognize that we are all at different stages of this process with our own unique blind spots even as we continue to learn (and unlearn).

What we’re striving for takes deliberate work and we’re all learning together.

Are you ready to join us in this mission?

WEVA is committed to helping business owners create and inspire change through honest and supportive conversations, workshops and networking.
